Like our community-based program, our site-based programs offer one-to-one mentoring for youth in the community. Big Brothers Big Sisters has 3 distinct programs that take place in person at our partner corporations’ offices, at participating schools, and online. These programs are facilitated by our staff.

VOLUNTEER NOW
MentorU leverages the proven power of mentoring for college and career success. This mentoring program partners with 3 local high schools, where the high school students communicate with mentors through online portals as well as meet up once a month for 90 minutes at their high school. MentorU is looking for 120 volunteer mentors to support incoming freshmen. When you volunteer, you will support young people facing academic and personal challenges who just need that extra little bit of support to keep them on track for graduation and success.

Bigs In Tech

Careers in tech are the future & you can help youth be a part of it.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound and Amazon are partnering to create a workplace mentoring program called Bigs In Tech. Bigs In Tech will connect Amazon staffers like you with local 6th graders to help them learn about careers in technology, reinforce social emotional skills, and build solid 1 on 1 relationships.

Attend facilitated mentoring sessions where you’ll build a strong mentoring relationship with a young person as you experience guided, culturally competent curriculum that includes STEAM activities and social-emotional learning methodology.

School-Based Mentoring

As a volunteer mentor, you’ll meet with your Little during the school year at the Little’s elementary school, during or after school hours. You might talk with your Little about school, do homework, read together, shoot hoops in the gym, or play on the playground. At the end of the day, it’s really all about starting a friendship, providing guidance, and inspiring them to reach their potential.
