DONATE USED CLOTHING
ABOUT
The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound Donation Center partners with individuals like you and companies like yours to collect new and gently used clothing throughout the region.
You can donate clothing at any one of our 50-plus outdoor donation bins in the region – with locations throughout King and Pierce County, and in cities such as Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, and more. You can also donate clothing and household goods at Value Village store locations in Burien and Issaquah.
The donation center program works in partnership with Value Village (SAVERS) and turns these donations into much needed funds. All net proceeds directly support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound and our one-to-one mentoring programs.
WE’RE A NON-PROFIT SO 100% OF YOUR DONATIONS SUPPORT IGNITING POTENTIAL IN YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY.
WHAT'S THE IMPACT?
All donations help support mentoring relationships, save precious room in landfills, and protect the environment.
Research shows that the average person throws away 68 pounds of clothing every year. This equals over 250 million pounds of clothing per year in the Puget Sound region alone. About 95 percent of the clothes, shoes, and linens thrown in the garbage could have been reused or recycled.
Each week, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound helps divert thousands of pounds of textiles from local landfills.
Value Village pays Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound per pound for these items, and 100 percent of proceeds help cover operating expenses that make one-to-one mentoring for young people in Puget Sound possible!
